Stair ropes make perfect handrails for your staircase and hall, they add interest and safety and provide an attractive feature as well as a practical handrail for the elderly and very young. Our stair ropes are traditionally handmade using only the finest Sisal, Jute and Wool in a wide selection of colours and fishishes to suit any home. The Period Rope and Rail Company provide a friendly personal service and the finishing touch to your staircase.

Our stair ropes come in a wide selection of colours, diameters and finishes to suit any style of home.

The Sisal range is made purely from the natural fibre, rather rustic but very hard wearing. Sisal stair ropes look very attractive with a knot end or for an alternative look we can coil the rope. The Jute range has a slightly softer texture than the Sisal. Jute has a neutral colour which compliments almost any decor. The Regency range has a softer feel and is available in a large selection of colours.

All are available with a coiled knot or knot and tassel end, with two diameters of 24mm and 30mm to choose from.
